What are Beef Cakes?
Single-serve protein pancake and oatmeal cups. Add 1/4 cup water, stir, and microwave for 60 seconds. The pancakes have 16g protein per cup and the oatmeal has 14g.
Where does the protein come from?
The pancakes get it from organic whole wheat, wheat protein isolate and collagen. The oatmeal gets it from organic rolled oats and beef collagen. There is no whey, milk protein or soy in any cup.
Do they taste like beef?
No. They taste like pancakes and oatmeal. The collagen has no beef flavor.
Are Beef Cakes dairy-free?
Yes. None of our cups contain dairy or lactose ingredients. More on our dairy-free protein pancakes.
Are they gluten-free?
No. The pancakes contain wheat. The oatmeal is made with organic rolled oats and is not labeled gluten-free.
How many calories and how much sugar are in a cup?
200 to 250 calories per cup, with 5 to 8g added sugar. We sweeten with cane sugar, brown sugar and allulose. There are no artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols. Full numbers are on our Nutrition Facts page.
What oils do you use?
Coconut oil in the Maple Pancakes and both oatmeals. The Diner Pancakes have no added oil. We never use seed oils.
Are Beef Cakes glyphosate-free?
Our whole wheat flour, oat flour and rolled oats are USDA Organic, which prohibits glyphosate use.
How long do they last?
Beef Cakes have a 2-year shelf life.
Can kids eat Beef Cakes?
Yes. They're a quick, filling breakfast for anyone who doesn't need to avoid wheat (pancakes) or collagen.
Are they vegetarian or vegan?
No. Collagen is an animal protein.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship across the U.S. and to select countries, including Canada, the UK, Australia, Japan and much of Europe. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout. U.S. orders of $59 or more ship free.
